Final round: Team A book their place in semi-final for Division 2 trophy
2 Dec 2025, Round 7. team A won. Teams B and C drew and team D lost. At the end of the evening, team A were top of group B in Division 2 with one more match point than Ashfield Anonymous B. Team B were placed seventh on Group A two game points below sixth placed Hebden Bridge 2 and I believe will have to play in Division 3 next season unless a higher placed team drops out. Team C was ninth and team D was nineteenth out of a field of 29 teams in Division 4.

At the end of the evening, Wolfpack A are a nose ahead of Wessex C to lead Division 2 Group B, but the Wessex team has yet to meet teams lower in the group so every game point will count. In Division 2 Group B, the Wolfpack B team again finds itself at the bottom of the group with hebden Bridge and will need to fight hard to remain in Division 2. Wolfpack C are placed 13th and Wolfpack D 20th in Division 4. To stand any chances for promotion, Wolfpack C will need to win the next three matches.

Team D claims its first match win
21 Oct 2025. Round 4. Other teams lost: team A lost to ashfield Anonymous B, team B to Cozy Tomatoes, and team C to Jurassic Coast. At the end of the evening team A now shares the lead in Division 2 Group B with Wessex C and Morpeth, but retains an advantage in game points. Team B is at the botton of Division 2 Group A and is still looking for a match win thi season. In Division 4, team C is 20th and team D 24th out of 29 competing. Alaric Stephen (Worcester) and Oleksii Yaremchuk (Dyson Perrin Sch, Malvern) won their first games for Wolfpack teams.

Good results at start of season 12
9 Sep 2025. Round 1. Teams A and C won all their games making a magnificent start to their season. Team A was led for the first time by a titled player WGM Kata Toma, Worcestershire's new individual champion. Team B drew all their games. The D team met Chess Rising Stars led by two players rated above 2000 and came off worse losing 4-0, but not without stout defence from Oleskeii (The Chase HS, Malvern) who gave a good account of himself in his first game for the squad. Worcestershire Wolfpack A beat Hertford 2, a team that has moved up a division this season and drew last season with our B team. The B team drew with Dundee City C, a team which the A team also drew with last season. The C team whitewashed Colchester JFF C with new player Nick Hanne winning on board 1. The D team lost 4-0 against Chess Rising Stars a team that played in Division 4 last season.

7 Sep 2025. There is one less division in 4NCL Main Online this season. Team B moves up to Division 2 to join team A. Teams C and D play in Division 4. In a further change, the lowest division has a final and semi-final like all the other divisions.
2 Jun 2025. The county association AGM re-elects Ray Collett (Worcester) as co-manager and elects Alex Nicholls (Worcester) as the second co-manager to replace Colin Vernon who stood down at the end of last season. The annual meeting approved the entry of four teams for the season beginning in September 2025.
